HYSTEROSCOPY
This procedure is similar to Laparoscopy as it involves visualizing the interior of the uterine cavity with a Hysteroscope (camera). But here, there is no need for an incision as the uterus already has a natural opening via the cervix and vagina. This procedure requires short general anesthesia doesn’t require bed rest or hospital admission beyond the duration of anesthesia unless it is specifically indicated in some cases. This is a valuable tool for investigating infertility by directly looking at the condition of the uterus. Even surgical procedures such as Fibroid removal, Septum correction, Polyp removal etc can be done through hysteroscope.
